Jason Behr
Actor
Fans of the WB will already know Jason Behr from his appearances on "Dawson's Creek," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and "7th Heaven." Now he's back with a smoldering performance as the ultimate teenage outsider.
Behr appeared in his first school play at the age of five. He continued to act, and moved to Los Angeles immediately after graduating from high school. There, he beat the odds and found immediate work as a guest star on the WB's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "7th Heaven," as well as "Profiler," "JAG," and "Push." Last season, he starred on six episodes of the WB's "Dawson's Creek."
On the big screen, he appeared in "Pleasantville" and starred with Dean Stockwell in the independent feature "Rites of Passage," which debuted at the 1999 Palm Springs Film Festival.
Behr currently resides in Los Angeles. He spends his time away from the set playing and watching sports, and attending concerts.
Character
Max is a natural leader, to whom the others turn for advice and guidance. He is very methodical and likes to think things through. He is a bright, conscientious and dedicated student. He has few, if any, friends besides Isabel and Michael, loves his parents, and is fairly content with his life in Roswell. He seems to be the most proficient with the aliens' special powers (he is the best at healing).
Liz is his soul mate and his love for her knows no bounds. Even when told of his mission to free his people from slavery, and that Tess, one of his people, is his intended mate, he tells Liz that she is his destiny, she makes him human, she means everything to him and he wants to be with her. He now needs to convince her that having her by his side is the only way he can complete his mission.
